Brena Hazzard Voice Scholarship

DESCRIPTION
$5,000 awarded on behalf of the Los Angeles Alumni Chapter to any member of Mu Phi Epsilon who is pursuing vocal study

REQUIREMENTS
Required Materials Checklist:
  1. Current resume, including Mu Phi Epsilon participation
  2. Two current letters of recommendation
  3. Most recent unofficial college transcript
  4. Explanation of planned or continuing program of vocal study. Include proof of current registration or acceptance, if applicable.
  5. A high quality audio recording including at least 4 art songs OR arias of contrasting languages and styles. At least one of the selections should be in English. Minimum of 15 minutes. Submission must  be via links to YouTube or other comparable sites provided to the online application system (YouTube preferred, no Dropbox). Recordings in the Scholarship Application process must not be older than two years from the date of application.
  6. List of the recorded repertoire with the following information:
    1. Exact titles, opus numbers
    2. Composers’ names
    3. Timings, including both individual and total timing of all repertoire
  7. Detailed budget of how this money will be used
  8. Recent programs and/or reviews
  9. $25 Application Fee
Please note that there will be no return of application fee for incomplete and disqualified applications.
